In early October it was reported that PayPal’s new User Agreement policy would allow the company to fine its users up to $2500 for purported “misinformation”. The day after the report PayPal reversed its plan and claimed that the announcement went out in error.
This policy has been slightly reworded but quietly added back in PayPal’s User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. In 2021, PayPal accounted for over 20% of all payments received by GIRW and, to date, 27% for year 2022. Regardless, this type of open-ended and manipulative agreement is unacceptable. Green Iron Road Wear has removed PayPal as a payment option and will close our account shortly.
Customers can still place orders through our website with all major credit and debit cards or Amazon pay (for now). We can still generate and send invoices via Square and payments can also be made in-person with said credit or debit cards. Please Contact us if you’d like to pay via Money Order. Of course, in-person payments of cold, hard cash are still preferred.
